Shadows at the Theme Park - Kids on Bikes Scenario

Set on the rural coastline of the Isle of Wight is Nightvale Chine - a theme park clinging to its mantle of oldest theme park in the UK as desperately as it clings to the edge of the cliff it was built upon. As a business it has survived through the benefit of local sentimentality and a sheer lack of surrounding competition. Every resident on the small island has visited the park at some point in their youth and taking their own children has formed an unwritten rite of passage. Together they have watched the rides and attractions gradually age over the years and seen the park itself slowly slip into the sea as the cliff it sits upon gradually erodes with each landslide.

Possible Adventure Hooks

Cursed Land - Plant life in the park is gradually browning and dying, turning to a brittle crust that crumbles at the lightest touch. Its point of origin is unclear. The water on the slides is taking on a strange bronze hue and many of the exhibits appeared slightly deformed.

Suspicious Activity - The figures and statues within the park are appearing in different places each morning. Activity seems most frequent around the Weather Wizard exhibit. 

Landslip - The park has long since suffered from landslides, by way of its coastal location. Bits of the park have had to be relocated, or have disappeared entirely over the years. This time the cliff has slipped again and in the days since exhibits across the park have suffered strange forms of damage. Some have been knocked over, others suffered deep gouges. The park management says it is simply a part of their Halloween event.

Possible Threats

Eldritch Summonings - The mysterious owner of the park is part of an occult group who meet in the park every night between midnight and 2am to worship an old god. Together they are attempting to summon forth a physical manifestation of their God. Recently their rituals have brought forth a dark presence that is seeping out of the ley lines that run under the park. Dangerous disturbances are now emanating from their point of summoning, the land and everything on it are slowly being poisoned by the strange emission.

The Weather Wizard’s Intents - The old animatronic Weather Wizard exhibit has somehow been given the gift of conscious life. Perhaps it is something to do with the ley lines that intersect below the park, after all it occurred after a recent landslip. The animatronic wizard roams the park at night, passing on its recent gift of partial life to other exhibits. Their intentions are as yet unknown. Having only just received conscious thought they are conflicted and confused. 

Ancient Discovery - A mysterious container has been unearthed by the recent landslide in the cliff bordering the park. It is a huge 20ft square wrought iron container, with hinges that have long since rusted. By the time anyone may get the chance to reach the container they will notice that the hinges and door have been burst outwards from within. The ancient creature contained within has escaped and set-up a nest within the park, and it is both groggy and hungry.
