The Witch Hunt of Jehovah's Hollow - Cairn / Liminal Horror Campaign

The year is 1691, paranoia and fear grip the hearts of the townspeople of Jehovah’s Hollow. 

A young girl in the community has been murdered, and it looks like witchcraft. Her body was discovered in a small clearing in the forest to the south. She was disfigured and surrounded by sigils and wooden effigies. As accusations and trials sweep through the village, the line between reality and superstition blurs. The mayor has employed the skills of a Witchfinder General to locate the coven behind the murder.

The players are a small group of women who have chosen to pursue artistic expression, and are amongst those first suspected of witchcraft due to their 'strange' progressive lifestyles. 

Bizarre events are taking place across the town: some citizens have undergone personality changes, those once calm now quick to anger; the cattle at the farmstead have wandered far from their home, their corpses discovered outskirts of the forest, guts strewn across the ground; crops are stricken with blight; food stores are spoiled overnight. Perhaps these events are related to the murder, or perhaps it is something else entirely.
